What to expect:
In this six-part online series by the Startup Academy, founders and aspiring entrepreneurs learn step by step how an idea becomes a successful and scalable startup. From idea validation to building a viable business model, product development, marketing and customer acquisition, all the way to financing, team building, and scaling. The series provides practical know-how, proven methods, and concrete tools from real startup experience.
The sessions are designed for early-stage startups, founders, and innovation enthusiasts who want to build their venture on a solid foundation and grow sustainably.
Module 4: “Marketing, Sales & Customer Acquisition”
Turn your product into a growing customer base.
In “Marketing, Sales & Customer Acquisition,” guided by Elianne Hutet, you will learn how to find, reach, and convert your first paying customers. The focus of this module is on developing go-to-market strategies that work for early-stage startups with limited budgets and no brand recognition.
You will explore practical approaches to customer acquisition and learn how to identify the channels that will give you the highest return on your limited time and money, using real-life examples throughout.
You will also discover how to move beyond “build it and they will come” thinking. You will learn how to measure what matters—customer acquisition cost, conversion rates, and retention, and how to use that data to optimize your marketing and sales efforts.
This module will help you:
- Identify the most effective marketing channels for your specific customer segment
- Develop a repeatable sales process for acquiring your first customers
- Define and track the key metrics that predict sustainable growth
The session will be held in English. Questions can be asked and answered in both German and English.

After Module 4, you will have a practical roadmap for launching your product to the market, acquiring your first customers, and building a foundation for scalable growth.

Das Workshop-Angebot fortlaufend anzupassen und zu erweitern, gehört mit zum Erfolgsrezept der Startup Academy. Im Moment werden folgende Formate durchgeführt: Die beiden Business Model Canvas-Workshops (Basic, Advanced) dienen dazu, alle Elemente der eigenen Geschäftsidee zu kennen und in ihrem Zusammenspiel zu verstehen; Richtig Pitchen hilft bei der prägnanten Vorstellung der eigenen Geschäftsidee je nach Zeit, Ort und Zielpublikum unterschiedlich; Mixed Management Pickles zeigt die Konzepte und Instrumente, die es beim Aufbau des eigenen Startups im Auge zu behalten gilt; und Kundenerlebnis fordert dazu auf, sich vom eigenen Produkt oder der eigenen Dienstleistung zu lösen und das Erlebnis des Kunden ins Zentrum zu stellen.
